Thoughts On Connecting and My One Year Blogiversary
Amidst all the hustle and bustle swirling around all over, I am celebrating a special moment in my little microcosm of the universe. Today marks the one year anniversary of my launch of Urban Sacred Garden, and what a year it has been. Through all the ups and downs this website has been my constant.
The best, and most unexpected, gifts I've received as a result of my work here are the meaningful connections I've made with other writers, foodies, photographers and inspired creatives. At the end of this post I've listed people who've inspired me at needed moments even though they often didn't even realize their perfect timing. The universe has a way of bringing us help when we need it most in the form of quiet messengers, easy conversations and pushes into something new and unknown. We only have to look for the signs, trust and follow. Meaningful connections are what life is all about and I've been lucky to meet many amazing people in this process.
My first post on February 24, 2011 for Simple Fruit Pie marked the initiation of a path towards reclaiming my creative roots, love of food and enjoyment of writing. I started with a basic vision and plan and allowed aspects to evolve in their own time. My work here is constantly growing and expanding. As serendipity would have it, when I hit "Publish" this will be my 200th post. I celebrated my 100th post July 9th, 2011. A tremendous note of gratitude to all of the following who've connected and made a difference to me on this new journey. This list is by no means exhaustive, but it is a start. Thanks for helping me make the one year mark.
