Writing Process for Joy & Abundance

Writing Process for Joy & Abundance

Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn.” ~ Lewis Grizzard

Our hearts open like buds and blossoms to the warmth of Spring. As the cool evenings warm, and Winter snows give way to Spring rains, we begin to imagine the possibilities of the months to come. The earth is so alive with buzzing bees, chirping birds and blossoming bulbs, bushes and trees we can’t help but be inspired by the “what if” of life. Our lives open up to hope and wonder.

Start a writing process this Spring and allow your heart to blossom. Here are a few suggestions:

1. Contemplate what change you most want in your life this season. Write down your thoughts to clarify your ideas and make your intent clear.
2. Write down the moments of abundance in your life that feed you like the rain and sunlight of the Spring. Document those moments with photographs or small mementos.
3. The birds are chirping their songs of passion. Write letters to those you love, and letters to those you’ve lost (even if you never send them) to move through emotion and release the past.
4. Make a list of what brings you the most joy – the small and the big – make a promise to do at least one thing everyday. Also consider building a vision board that captures what joyful moments you want to create.
5. As always, look back in gratitude on all the blessings of your life, write them down.

This Spring recognize that you are warm, safe and loved. Ensure your actions, and what you accept for yourself, are aligned with that truth. May you rest comfortably in the hands of spirit and may many blessings shower grace upon you.
